What We Do

Traffic Coatings

Urethane and polyurea systems that flex with the slab and resist tire abrasion, finished to a slip-resistant texture for ramps and turns.

A traffic deck takes a different kind of punishment than a wall or a roof: constant vehicle loading, turning and braking friction, tire abrasion, and the sand, salt, and meltwater tracked in through a wet winter. A coating for that duty has to stay flexible enough to move with the slab underneath while resisting wear from tires crossing it every day — two requirements that pull against each other, which is why the system matters more than the product.

In practice that means a urethane or polyurea base coat bonded directly to prepared concrete, with reinforcing fabric worked into joints and existing cracks so the system bridges ongoing movement instead of splitting along it. A wear course is broadcast with aggregate and finished to a slip-resistant texture, because traction on ramps, turns, and inclines matters as much as durability on the flat runs between them.

These go down on parkade decks, ramps, rooftop parking, and loading zones — surfaces where coating failure is not a cosmetic issue. A worn or delaminating traffic coating becomes a slip hazard and a drainage problem in short order, so the system is matched to the load and the slope of the surface it is protecting.
